Gas Log Service Special

Our Weber Grills are Different and Better!

You may have seen Weber Grills at a big box store and think you will pay a lower price by buying there. Not all Weber Grills are created equal! Some of the most important internal components are different than in the grills we sell.

To keep the price low for discount stores, Weber uses porcelain coated Flavorizer® bars and porcelain coated cooking grids.

The Flavorizer® bars and cooking grids in the Weber Grills that we sell are stainless steel and will last considerably longer. Our Premium Weber grills cost a little more than the discount stores but you will actually save money because the stainless steel parts will last longer. The stainless steel parts have a five year warranty vs two years for standard Flavorizer® bars and three years for standard cooking grids.

Flavorizer Bars

This photo shows one of our Weber Grills with the cooking grids removed. Weber grills make use of a great design for managing heat called Flavorizer® bars. Flavorizer® bars take the place of briquettes in standard gas grills and have several benefits.

  • Buffer the heat so food cooks evenly
  • Drippings hit the bars and burn off and give the gas grill much of the BBQ flavor of charcoal grill without the mess
  • Control flare-ups
  • Easy clean-up
  • Longer service life - 5 year warranty vs 2 year for porcelain coated steel

Standard or discount store versions of Weber Grills use a porcelain coated Flavorizer® bars. Since the Flavorizer® bars cover the burners, they come into contact with the gas flame. Fire is corrosive and will cause standard steel to rust more quickly.

Stainless Steel Grids

This photo shows the stainless steel cooking grids that come in our premium Weber Grills. Stainless steel cooking grids are superior to porcelain coated steel grids

  • No porcelain to flake off on food
  • Easy to clean - extra care is not need like on the more delicate porcelain coated grids
  • Longer service life - 5 year warranty vs 3 for porcelain coated
